Today was all about reflecting back to those Christmas celebrations of long ago and those of today. Our families have always been pretty flexible and so our celebrations may be at different times each year, but we all get together and that's what's important. We're the only ones that have to travel in both of our immediate families and we're always home with our daughter on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning so depending on the year, we celebrate with our families on different days. Both sides have grown and expanded so much that only on dh's father's side do we still get together with the extended family, and each year it's different people that can attend. I miss those times with the ones that aren't here with us any longer and those that are, but are too far away and busy with their own families to see any more. I guess that's just part of growing older though.
